Each day I practiced for my Dream.
When I was 2, my mother came down with serious arthritis.
But it was not so painful for me because I could still see her.
Every day I massaged her weak muscles.
Afterward, I would study music composition at the
Korea National University of Arts.
During my 20’s I met many genius and passionate artists .
As a sophomore I was impressed by electronic music.
I learned it and composed some pieces:
“Red 2000” “A Harmless Prank” “For Jacqueline Du Pre”
Electronic music was fun but I needed more.
When I took ballet, improvisation, and modern dance classes
I realized that a movement could be a special expression.
I then decided to be a multi-faceted artist
The electronic music and dance fit well.
I performed my musical work with dancers, players, in multi-media.
I was also one of the dancers.
The time spent had been difficult but rewarding.
But I needed more: To find my own way.
I decided to return to study dance music for my master’s at the
Korea National University of Arts.
One very bad day, I responded and decided to compose a special dance piece:
“Mordern Dance op.1” “Modern Dance op.1 short version”
Surprisingly, many people really liked it.
It brought me musical awards.
Also some artists used it for their work and performances.
I was called a dance composer, one of my dreams.
With each passing year my aspirations increased.
After participating in a performance with KNUA Dance Company in San Fran,
I wanted to perform my music other far away places.
Within 3 years, this dream also came true.
