At the beginning of 2009 the former Korea National Ballet choreographer invited me.
He wanted to make a contemporary creative ballet based on a Korean traditional love story.
I worked with the staff & dancers for 10 months.
This experience was entirely different than composing my own work.
As the composer, I learned how to compose in tandem with the choreographer.
When composing, I had to consider the importance of lighting, customs, and stage design.
“La Chun Hyang” was first performed in Seoul at the end of 2009.
By the end of 2010 we had won two prizes.
Since then, it has continued to be performed every year worldwide.
I had no idea how many people would see the performance and listen to my music.
My dream the be an international composer had come true.
July, 18, 2012. The Peacock Theater in London.

Using this experience, I wrote my thesis on the same topic:
A Study on the Composition Process of Creative Dance Music.
I intended it to be a reference for other composers and choreographers
who want to make new performances.
I next made an album for a ballet class, the composition based on good memories:
Ballet Class – Bar Work Story You & I
A year later I made a video using this composition and incorporating my photos:
